Las Vegas Golden Knights’ captain Mark Stone spoke to the media following his team’s narrow loss to the Edmonton Oilers. He talked about their season and what the return of key players will do for the team.

The Golden Knights have been bit pretty hard by the injury bug, but Mark Stone is not using that as an excuse. This newly founded franchise has experienced great success in their short time in the NHL. Their lack luster start to this season is something they will not stand for. Stone knows no one is feeling sorry for them. They have to overcome the adversity that they are facing.

While they lost this game, they got a key player back in Max Pacioretty. Stone believes his return made their power play look better. The Golden Knights have only scored 5 power play goals all season. He wants his team to do a better job of drawing penalties going forward, but he knows they have a lot of big, strong players that don’t always go down when they take a hit.

Going forward, getting his team healthy is the number one priority. He believes they will get their offensive punch back when their top 6 is in the game. For now though, they have to focus on finding a way to win games. They just need to keep up their game plan and get bodies back on the ice.
